When I turned the corner, I saw Michele on one side of the bed with Sophia in the middle. Upon seeing me, Sophia gave me a huge smile that warmed my heart. She then beat furiously on the pillow on her other side. I obeyed without hesitation and sat next to her. She then clapped enthusiastically and yelled, “Yay!”

I was totally uplifted, but she wasn’t done yet. She looked around, paused, and then yelled for Kitty. Michele went to get Kitty, and again, Sophia clapped and yelled, “yay!”

She is the coolest kid ever! (I gotta say that for the 2 months left when I can before her brother arrives. :) )
