Well, title pretty much sums it up. After spending most of our adult lives in the beautiful North Carolina Triangle area, Casa Lennon is moving to Northern Virginia. After 11 years with Duke University, Daddy Dave is honored to accept an exciting new role as a Program Manager with Amazon. (Amazon Web Services, to be precise.)

We are both extremely excited about the move and deeply saddened. We have come to know the Triangle as home. Our friends in the area are very much our family. A word heard several times in Casa Lennon has been “torn”. A great opportunity with a wonderful firm doing amazing things. All that and closer to some family in the DC area, as well. Yet, we know how much we will miss the great life we’ve built here with such a fantastic community.

Dave’s last day with Duke (I can almost hear my Terrapin alum rejoicing ) will be March 2nd. We will spend some time looking for a place to live in the Herndon/Reston area throughout the month. We look to move up together sometime the week of March 22. Dave’s first day with Amazon will be March 28.

Lastly, we can’t say enough about our friends. Thank you to all of you that have helped in some way as we work furiously to sell our home and prepare for our transition. You may not have thought much about your small gestures, but they mean the world to us.
